Yes, you are very welcome to give us a call and we will be happy to assist you in making a phone purchase.
Phone: (530) 271-2239 or (800) 869-0658
Hours: 9am to 5pm Pacific time.
If we don't answer, that means we're either busy with another customer or gone for the day. Leave a message (with your phone number) and we will get back to you asap (as soon as possible). Or, leave us a message through our contact form and we can either contact you through email or give you a phone call -- depending on whether you leave a phone number.
If, for some reason, you don't hear from us, we apologize. In this world of spam filters, email buckets, unpredictable voicemail and a myriad of other technological challenges, stuff happens.
So, if you don't hear back from us in a reasonable amount of time, please give us another call, or send another contact form.
This is not just a job to us. We believe in the products we provide and are more than happy to help you select the items appropriate to your needs.
Yes, we will ship outside the U.S. However, there is an extra charge for foreign shipping.
The reason for this extra charge is simple: foreign shipping prices vary wildly depending upon the product and "ship to" country.
There is no shopping cart system currently available to us that will accurately pre-calculate shipping overseas.
Thus, we have elected to charge the standard domestic shipping at the time of purchase, then calculate the extra shipping required when we actually have your order packed, weighed and ready to go.
This method is more economical for you and much less of a problem for us.
If you would rather pay the full shipping at the time of purchase, please place your order by phone (530-271-2239 / 800-869-0658), or use our contact form and let us know how you'd like to proceed.
If you have already placed an order and have a problem with this method of handling the extra shipping fees, please let us know and we can help you cancel the order with Paypal.
Bottom line, there is no way we can afford to ship any product out of the United States unless we are compensated for the difference between domestic and foreign shipping rates.
When I clicked on an item in your shopping cart, the Paypal page had items on it that I looked at on a different website. What gives?
Basically, we have a bunch of websites. At the request of our existing customers, we have made special arrangements to interlink all of our websites. This means that someone can shop on any number of our sites, then use a single checkout.
If you find items on the cart that you no longer have interest in purchasing, click on the "remove" box or change the quantity to zero, then click on the "update cart" link. This will purge the cart of unwanted items.
At no time during the purchase process do we see your credit card information.
This is one of the nice security features of purchasing through Paypal.
Paypal will send us notification of your purchase, along with your email address so that we may contact you, but, as far as the actual credit card information goes, we never see it.
So, if you have any questions about whether we store it or not -- not to worry. We don't even see it.
When I try to place an order I get a message telling me something about a cross-platform scripting thing. What's the deal?
This is a message generated by a Mozilla Add-on called NoScript.
NoScript has an attitude about how Paypal should be handling its payment buttons. Paypal has a definite attitude about NoScript and how they should be handling their program. Mozilla doesn't seem to think it has anything to do with Firefox. And none of these guys seem to care much about how this affects a customer's ability to make a purchase from a merchant's shopping cart.
If the actual target site is paypal.com, then you can be assured that there is no cross-platform hanky-panky.
To clear up this issue, you should make sure that you are allowing scripts on this website. I find that many times I have to use the special button in the lower right to select the proper options. But then again the program changes from week to week. So you may have to hunt around a bit to find the "Allow" option.
In any case, it has worked for me to allow scripts on the website and try again. If this does not solve the problem for you, please consider making your purchase by phone (530-271-2239 / 800-869-0658) and/or contacting us.
